Each year the Center4 TransAtlantic Leadership and Progressive Studies Foundation must raise at least $10K to provide professional development workshops for Ghanaian educators who simply have no present capacity to pay for the trainings themselves, and to cover expenses related to delivering resources to Ghanaian schools and local organizations. These CTALPS workshops provide educators with the necessary strategies and assessment tools to support progress and excellence in the classroom. Your contribution covers other resources such as shipping school and office supplies, meeting materials, technology and transportation to/from townships and villages.
The educators from the United States who facilitate these professional development workshops volunteer their expertise and pay their own flight, lodging and meal expenses. CTALPS conducts cultural immersion training for these educators to learn the vivid histories of the Ghanaian people within the western region Their participation helps us meet our goal of providing a global village of lifelong learners by equipping teachers and students with the foundation for future learning in the 21st Century.
As a 501(c)(3) entity, we sincerely appreciate any and every amount donated because we have seen how much further a dollar can stretch. We humbly ask that contributions be made sooner than later (before May 31, 2025), but we will apply funds received after our June 4, 2025 departure towards next year's program. All businesses, faith organizations, fraternal and social clubs, and individuals are invited to contribute.
